I recently had the opportunity to ride in an Otis elevator in the Empire State Building in New York City.
I arrived at the building by taking the subway to 34th Street and walking a few blocks to the iconic skyscraper. As I approached the entrance, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and marvel at the impressive architecture of the building.
Once inside, I headed straight for the elevators, which were located in the center of the lobby. There were several Otis elevators to choose from, all of which looked modern and well-maintained. I stepped into one of the elevators and was immediately impressed by the spacious interior and sleek design.

The buttons inside the elevator were easy to locate and use, with clear labels indicating the different floors. I pressed the button for the 86th floor observatory and waited as the elevator began its ascent.
One of the standout features of this particular Otis elevator was the smooth and rapid ride. I barely felt any movement as the elevator swiftly transported me to my destination. The open/close buttons were also a breeze to use, allowing me to easily enter and exit the elevator.

However, I did notice that the ride seemed to be a bit jerky at times and there were a few moments of unexpected stops and starts. It wasn't a major issue, but it did take away from the overall smoothness of the ride.
As I reached the 86th floor and the doors opened, I was greeted with breathtaking views of the city. It was an unforgettable experience and a testament to the efficiency and reliability of Otis elevators, despite some minor issues during the ride.
Overall, I was mostly impressed with my ride in the Otis at the Empire State Building. The sleek design, smooth ride (for the most part), and easy-to-use buttons made for an enjoyable and seamless experience, with just a few minor criticisms. I would still highly recommend these elevators to anyone visiting the iconic New York City landmark.
